This is a large, heavy-duty transmission sprocket and chain system with a pitch of 63.5mm, belonging to the A-series short pitch precision roller chain (ANSI standard 200). Suitable for heavy-duty machinery transmission scenarios, such as mining equipment, crushers, conveyors, steel and metallurgical equipment, cement production lines, etc

1. Chain material
Common materials: 40Mn, 40Mn2, 45Mn, 40Cr and other alloy steels
Optional materials: SUS304, SUS316 (stainless steel, used in corrosive environments)
2. Chain wheel material
Common material: 45 # steel (S45C), subjected to quenching and tempering heat treatment
Tooth hardening: For small chain wheels or high wear scenarios, tooth end hardening treatment is recommended, with a hardness of up to 68-72HRA

Key selection points

Confirm chain model: 40A-1 (single row), 40A-2 (double row), or 40A-3 (three row) chains must be used
Number of teeth selection: Generally, the number of teeth on the driving sprocket should not be less than 12, and it is recommended to have at least 17 teeth to reduce polygonal effects
Maximum aperture: "dm" in the table is the maximum allowable shaft aperture, which needs to be customized according to the shaft diameter in practice

Operation and Maintenance

Simultaneous replacement of sprocket and chain: Do not replace only one of them, otherwise it will accelerate wear and tear
Regular lubrication: Heavy load conditions require regular addition of lubricating oil/grease
Tensioning device: The driven wheel should be equipped with a tensioning device to maintain appropriate tightness
Coplanarity check: After installation, ensure that the main and driven sprockets are in the same plane
