Tobacco Machinery Conveyor Chains are key transmission components in tobacco production lines. They are mainly used for the precise conveying of materials such as tobacco leaves, cut tobacco, cigarettes, and cigarette packs in various processing links (such as sorting, drying, cutting, rolling and connecting, and packaging), ensuring the continuity, efficiency, and hygiene standards of the tobacco production process. Due to the tobacco industry's extremely high requirements for material integrity, cleanliness, and conveying accuracy, such chains need to have special designs and performances.

Structural Features:

The basic chain body mostly adopts precision roller chains or plate chains. The chain links are composed of pins, bushings, rollers, and chain plates. In some scenarios, special conveying accessories (such as scrapers, baffles, pallets, or grid plates) are added to adapt to tobacco materials of different forms (such as loose tobacco leaves, bundled cut tobacco, and formed cigarettes).

 

To prevent materials from getting stuck or falling, the matching accuracy between the chain and the track is high. Some chains are designed with self-cleaning functions (such as optimized gaps and smooth surfaces) to reduce residual tobacco debris.

Material Selection:

• Core components (chain plates, pins) commonly use high-strength alloy structural steel (such as 40Cr). Through heat treatment (quenching and tempering, quenching), their wear resistance and fatigue strength are improved to adapt to high-speed and high-load tobacco production lines (the speed of some production lines can reach more than 300 meters per minute).
• Components in direct contact with tobacco may use food-grade stainless steel (such as 304 stainless steel) or surface chrome-plated/galvanized steel to meet hygiene requirements and prevent metal corrosion from contaminating tobacco.
• Rollers or bushings of some chains are made of wear-resistant plastics (such as PA66 with glass fiber) to reduce operating noise and avoid scratching vulnerable
