Double pitch conveyor chains with top rollers are a type of special conveyor chain that has unique structural features and performance advantages. 
Structural design:
Top - roller installation: The chain plate of the double - pitch chain is extended upward, and freely rotating top - rollers are installed on it. When the chain is single - stranded, if not specified, the top - rollers are installed on the inner chain links for even - numbered chain links; when the chain is double - stranded, the top - rollers are installed on the outer chain links for even - numbered chain links.
Chain body components: It is composed of inner chain plates, outer chain plates, pins, bushings, etc. The pins need to extend to the outside of the chain plates to fix the top - rollers, so higher strength is required, and alloy steel such as 40Cr is often used and strengthened by heat treatment. The bushings of the chain body adopt special oil - containing sintered bushings, which can be used for a long time without refueling.
Working principle:
Power transmission: Double - pitch conveyor chains with top - rollers mainly transmit power, torque, and rotational speed through the cooperation of the chain and sprockets and other transmission components. The pitch of the double - pitch chain is twice that of the short - pitch precision roller chain for transmission, and the other interchangeable dimensions are the same. Its tensile strength and hinge support area are the same as those of the corresponding short - pitch precision roller chain.
Top - roller function: The top - rollers are in contact with the conveying track or the conveyed material. They can not only bear the weight of the material but also reduce the friction between the chain and the track, enabling the chain to move more smoothly on the track.
