Introduction
The Bottom Roller is the core load-bearing component of the chassis system of a tracked bulldozer, mainly used to support the weight of the entire machine and guide the smooth operation of the tracks.
This product is designed specifically for Komatsu D20, D21, D31 and other series models. It is made of 50Mn alloy steel and forged as a whole. After surface induction hardening treatment, the hardness reaches HRC 52-58, and the depth of the hardened layer is 8-12mm. It has excellent wear resistance and impact resistance. Equipped with a high chromium molybdenum alloy floating oil seal, it effectively prevents sediment intrusion and lubricant leakage, significantly extending its service life.
The product has precise installation dimensions, strong load-bearing capacity, and a maximum rated load of 15 tons. It is suitable for various harsh working conditions such as mining, construction, and agriculture, and is a cost-effective alternative to original accessories.

The production process of bottom roller 
Wheel body forming (forging/spinning)
There are two main ways to form the blank of the bottom roller:
1. Forging. Heat 50Mn, 40Mn2 and other round steels to 920 ℃~1200 ℃, and use mainstream processes such as pre forging and final forging to achieve dense structure and high strength; Advanced technology can achieve synchronous molding of the inner cavity and outer shape in one go.
2. Spinning. After the steel plate is cut, it is spun into shape by a spinning machine. High material utilization rate, lightweight, suitable for specific structures.
Before forming, advanced processes will perform high-pressure water descaling to quickly remove surface oxide skin and prevent the forging from being pressed in and affecting quality
Heat treatment strengthening
This is the key process that determines the wear resistance and service life of the bottom roller:
1. Quenching: Use forging waste heat (820 ℃~860 ℃) to directly spray liquid for quenching for 70~120 seconds, eliminating the need for reheating; Or adopt a continuous quenching and tempering production line to ensure quality stability
2. Tempering: Tempering at 180 ℃~220 ℃ to eliminate internal stress
3. Surface hardening: Induction hardening of the wheel surface, with a hardness of HRC 52-58 and a hardened layer of 8-12mm
4. The new type of non quenched and tempered steel can eliminate the quenching and tempering process, making it more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly
Precision machining (machining)
The heat treated blank enters the precision machining stage:
1. Wheel body: CNC turning of bearing holes, retaining edges, O-ring grooves, etc. at both ends to ensure dimensional accuracy
2. bottom roller axle: made of 45 steel or 40Mn2 material, requiring quenching and medium frequency quenching, with a hardness of around HRC42 and high precision requirements
Assembly
Assemble the wheel body, axle, shaft sleeve, floating oil seal, end cover and other components:
1. Floating oil seal: made of high chromium molybdenum alloy with a hardness of HRC65~72, ensuring a leak proof seal
2. O-ring: Nitrile rubber seal
3. Conduct airtightness testing after assembly, and after passing the test, spray anti rust paint and package for storage
