Star-Shaped Elastic Coupling Overview

A Star-Shaped Elastic Coupling is a flexible shaft coupling that uses a star-shaped elastomer insert to transmit torque between two hubs. This design provides excellent shock absorption, vibration damping, and misalignment compensation, making it ideal for a wide range of industrial applications.

The coupling comprises two metal hubs and a replaceable star-shaped elastic element (commonly made of polyurethane). The hubs engage with the elastomer through interlocking jaws, ensuring smooth torque transmission while protecting connected equipment from overloads.
