Optimized Link Design
- The chain plates adopt a thin or arc-transition design to reduce rigid impact during meshing between links and sprockets; some models are equipped with buffer coatings (such as nylon or rubber) on the surface of chain plates to further absorb vibration energy.
- The fit clearance between rollers and bushings is precisely controlled to reduce friction noise during their relative movement while improving rotational flexibility.

Silent Guide Structure
- Some silent roller chains adopt "inner guide" or "outer guide" designs, replacing the side friction of traditional chains with smooth contact between guide plates and guide rails, thereby reducing noise caused by lateral shaking.
- The back of the chain can be designed to be flat or with buffer strips, adapting to the close-fitting operation with guide components and avoiding impact noise caused by excessive gaps.

Materials and Surface Treatment
- Core components such as chain plates and rollers are mostly made of high-strength alloy steel, which undergoes carburizing, quenching, and other processes to enhance wear resistance and toughness; some environment-friendly models use stainless steel to balance rust resistance and silent requirements.
- Roller surfaces can be polished, phosphatized, or sprayed with wear-resistant and silent coatings to reduce the friction coefficient when meshing with sprocket tooth surfaces.
